On August 26, 2005 a midterm workshop took place in Lille.
Political representatives from the three member states (Martine Filleul, Karsten Beneke, Sergiusz Karpinski) and Mr. Lamblin (INTERREG IIIC West Joint Technical Secretariat Manager) welcomed the representatives of all subprojects (1. and 2. Call). Their speeches pointed up how important the interregional cooperation is within a young Europe - not only for the new member states.
Afterwards some selected subprojects from the three topics "Industrial Restructure", "Social Policy" and "Modern Administration" got the chance to present their work and aims and in some parts results already.
The following lunch break was used to exchange with representatives of other subprojects about experiences and to establish new contacts.
In the afternoon Mr. Friedrich Henle presented the results of a evaluation, which was sent to all subproject partners in the forefront. The participants had the chance to evaluate organisation and value of the INTERREG- and RFO-conferences, the support by ZENIT, the tender documents of the progress and financial report and the work of the auditors. The results are available here: www.trireg.net. The conference participants also had the chance to discuss procedures, problems and possible improvements with the representatives of ZENIT (Mr. Carmona-Schneider), the Staatskanzlei Düsseldorf (Mr. Weßler) and the chef-auditor Mr. Kemmer.
Afterwards the participants of the simultaneous "Youth Conference" in Lille had the chance to talk with the representatives of the INTERREG IIIC subprojects about interregional project work.
